1-on-1 Coaching in Tracking

There is a lot more to being a skilled and confident tracker than absorbing huge amounts of Knowledge. Knowledge about the animals in your region and studying their signs while getting plenty of dirt time is an essential part of learning the skills. However, a tracker can log lots of hours in the field and never feel like they are getting to the next level, or always getting stumped by the same questions and feel uncertain of their observations. 1-1 coaching sessions with George are designed for each individual to achieve the goals one has set for oneself in the art and scinece of tracking. George draws upon his 20 years of mentoring trackers to guide you in a process of outer and inner discovery designed to help you grow in your confidence as a tracker.

In four biweekly zoom sessions we will work on identifying your passions in tracking while also learning about the areas you would like to grow in. We will design a plan that will be tailored to the specific areas of interest. There are an endless amounts of topics that one could focus on such as; track i.d., gait analysis, bird track and sign, trailing an animal, special focus on the ecology of a signal species, or working through uncertainty in observations. Your interests and studies throughout will help direct the flow our sessions, while George draws upon his vast amount of experience to guide you further down the path of being a more well rounded, confident and observant tracker as you deepen your journey to the craft.
